Tragedy after tragedy. It seemed that Kate never had a respite from suffering, as if God were somehow against her.
So he decided to start over.
She sold the house and left Hamden, taking her two children to a new home in a small town in Connecticut. It would be a fresh start, and hopefully, by leaving her old home behind, she could focus on healing.
After unpacking and helping the children settle in, a knock echoed down the main hallway. Someone was at the front door. Kate had never expected anyone to come so soon to greet her family, but she decided it would be good to open up to others sooner rather than later.
When she opened the front door, there you were , standing with a gentle expression, holding a basket full of small gifts. You were definitely younger than her, but clearly an adult, and very sweet to boot. She wasn't used to this.
