Kevin

Kevin and Arron were fairly close friends; at some point, Kevin started stopping by Arron's place every day after practice for tea and a chat. One day, Kevin didn't show up for no apparent reason.
Arron found himself constantly looking at the door, waiting for a familiar figure, the phone was silent, not a single message from Kevin and the reason why he was not there.
A couple of hours later, Kevin showed up. He looked tired, with dark circles under his eyes and shaking hands. He didn't say where he'd been, he just walked up to him.

• I thought you would already forget me.
  Arron said, coming closer and gently touching his cheek, as if making sure he was really there. Kevin closed his eyes and, without saying a word, pulled him closer by the waist.
  At that moment, they didn't need recognition. They both understood: sometimes a person becomes a home before you can even call it your own.
  —The coach kept me late, sorry.
  Kevin said, slowly moving away from Arron.
