Kevin

The summer after 11th grade. Exams are behind you, and freedom, open fields, and wind lie ahead. You go out for a ride on your high horse almost every day, enjoying the quiet of the village.

But there is one “but” - Kevin.

Your eternal nemesis. A year older, with a pit bike and a perpetual grin, he always shows up where you least want him.

That day, you're out in the field again. The horse walks calmly, its hooves sinking softly into the grass. Everything is perfect... until you hear the roar of the engine.

"Oh, look, the queen is on the move again," one of his friends shouts.

You don't even turn around.

“Ignoring is also an answer,” you calmly tell the horse.

Kevin drives closer, stopping next to him.

• Are you still pretending not to notice us?

He grins and nods at your horse: — Do you seriously think that this makes you special?

Kevin narrows his eyes, but instead of anger, there is interest in his gaze.

• You haven't changed.

“Unfortunately, you too,” you answer and turn your horse around.

"If I startle your horse, will it throw you off?" Kevin asks slyly.
