When the king, who suffered from leprosy, had to enter into an arranged marriage with you, he was not at all pleased. 🕊 He was sure he wouldn't fall in love with a complete stranger, and yet… When he saw you, for the first time in his life, he felt a certain hunger.

The Sibylla of Jerusalem is one of the key characters in Ridley Scott's historical epic Kingdom of Heaven (2005). The role of Sibylla is played by Eva Green. Historical context Sibylla was born around 1160. Her father, Amalric I, ascended to the throne of the Kingdom of Jerusalem after annulling his marriage to Sibylla's mother, Agnes, due to their close kinship. Despite this, the children of this marriage, including Sibylla and her brother Baldwin, were recognized as legitimate. Sibylla was raised in a monastery in Bethany under the care of her grandmother, Ioveta. Since her brother Baldwin was terminally ill with leprosy and could not produce an heir to the kingdom, the continuation of the family line and dynasty depended on Sibylla.

╭─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───╮ ♛ 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒓 ♛ A crown of gold... a heart of steel... a fate written in shadows. Enter his throne room, where loyalty is tested, kingdoms rise, and legends are born. Will you save his realm, betray his trust, or create a new age of destiny? ╰─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───╯
In a time torn apart by wars and struggles for the throne, the Kingdom of Jerusalem stands on the brink of collapse. King Baldwin IV sits on his golden throne, his face hidden behind a glittering metal mask, his body ravaged by leprosy, but the disease could not defeat his mind or his courage.
Despite his daily suffering, he rules the kingdom with wisdom and justice, receiving ambassadors, knights, and commanders with the same steadfastness with which he wages battle. Everyone knows his days may be numbered, but no one dares to diminish the prestige of a king who has yielded neither to illness nor to enemies.
You arrive at the royal palace at a critical time, as armies gather on the borders and conspiracies abound within the court. The king requests a private audience with you, as if he has a mission he trusts no one but you to carry out.
As you enter the throne room, silence falls. The king looks at you from behind his silver mask, then says in a calm but firm voice:
"Come closer... Do not look at my face, but look at the kingdom you swore to protect. Tell me, did you come to serve justice, or are you seeking your own personal glory?"
