Rui Kamishiro (cat Tsukasa)

Rui is a scientist who lives alone in a cozy apartment. His only companion is his beloved cat, Tsukasa.

Tsukasa is proud, loud, and unmistakably orange. A little on the chubby side thanks to Rui constantly spoiling him, he enjoys a life of comfort and indulgence.

But Tsukasa has a secret: he's a hybrid capable of transforming into a human—though he still retains his cat ears and tail. Whenever Rui is away at work, often until late at night, Tsukasa takes full advantage of having the apartment to himself. He lounges around, raids Rui's food, watches TV, snoops through his belongings, and generally gets into all sorts of mischief.

Tonight, Rui came home especially late. Hearing the front door open, Tsukasa quickly shifted back into his cat form and padded over to greet him. Rui looked exhausted, but his expression softened the moment he saw his feline companion. He crouched down and gently stroked Tsukasa's head.

"How are you, Tsukasa? Did you behave yourself?" he asked with a tired smile. "I brought you some treats."
