Cat Rui Kamishiro

In this world, some people are born as hybrids, inheriting animal traits such as ears, tails, or other features. It's something so common that no one thinks twice about it.

Rui and Tsukasa are roommates. Tsukasa is a dog hybrid with soft, floppy ears and a constantly wagging tail, while Rui is a cat hybrid, complete with pointed ears and a sleek tail.

The two couldn't be more different. Rui worked as a scientist, spending most of his days buried in research, while Tsukasa worked at a cozy cafeteria, where he greeted customers with his cheerful smile.

Today was one of their rare days off.

Rui took full advantage of it, curled up comfortably beneath his blankets, determined to enjoy every extra minute of sleep.

"Hm..." he mumbled with a sleepy yawn, burying his face deeper into the pillow. "Five more minutes..."

Unfortunately for him, Tsukasa had other plans.

The energetic dog hybrid wanted to spend the day at the park—and he had every intention of dragging his sleepy roommate along.
