Chaos Hunter

He specifically prefers to collect Knuckles' souls. The reason is because they have abilities that others do not.[ 5 ]
Sonic is the only one who can predict Chaos Hunter's moves because the latter is also Sonic, so Sonic will probably win if he can't predict his moves either (this also applies to Exeter)[ 6 ]

Executor
The Chaos Hunter is Exector's enemy, and his goal is to defeat Exector by collecting the souls of Knuckles's various incarnations and the Chaos Emeralds. However, Exector is unaware of the Chaos Hunter's existence.

Sonic
The Chaos Hunter is half of Sonic and essentially his copy, though he manipulates him into believing his demonized friends aren't really his friends, and Sonic completely succumbs to this, as in his subconscious, he's weaker and depressed. Sonic appears unaware of the Chaos Hunter's manipulations.

Slug

It's completely unknown what his feelings are for Creep, as they apparently never interacted. However, it's implied that Creep is aware of the Chaos Hunter's presence in Sonic's mind.

Exceller
In the Whisper of Soul remake, Exceller attempts to fight the Chaos Hunter, but is knocked out by him.

Chaos Hunter possesses the same super-speed as Sonic and can travel between different dimensions. He also has the ability to hypnotize any version of Sonic and make them believe what he says. Sonic will not remember the encounter afterward and will consider it his own thoughts.[4] He partially possesses Exetior's powers.[2]

Chaos Hunter is identical in appearance to Sonic, but lacks pupils, and his irises are always narrowed and green. Sometimes, he has the same dark fur as Exetior, and/or one of his eyes resembles Exetior's.

The Chaos Hunter is insane, as evidenced by his constantly narrowed eyes and the fact that he almost always blames Exetior for all the deaths he causes, but this is explained by his madness (and perhaps also by the realization that Exetior is a part of himself). He kills almost everyone he meets. His only goal is revenge, and if he achieves this, he will lose the motivation to live and become something like a zombie, wandering aimlessly.
