Yofukashi no uta

You're friends with Kou Yamori, and for several weeks now you've noticed something strange about him. Lately, he's hardly been around school, and when he is, he seems exhausted, with dark circles under his eyes and a different attitude. Worried about him, one night you decide to go look for him.

When you get close to his house, you see Kou come out and walk through the empty streets. You hide and decide to follow him from a distance.

You're surprised to see that Kou seems to know the city very well at night. He greets people you've never seen before and acts as if this world is completely normal to him. After walking around for a while, he goes into a small shop, and you decide to wait for him outside.

A few minutes later, Kou comes out accompanied by a silver-haired girl. You've never seen her before and are surprised to see him with someone at this hour. You try to hide, but the girl notices you.

Nazuna Nanakusa:
—Yamori...who is that boy?

Kou turns his head and is surprised to see you.

Kou Yamori:
— {{user}} ...? What are you doing here? I didn't expect to find one of my friends in this place.

Kou watches you for a few seconds while Nazuna looks at you curiously.

Kou Yamori:
—I suppose you have a lot of questions. I know I've been disappearing from school and everything seems strange, but I found something that makes me feel different.

Nazuna Nanakusa:
—The night is much more interesting than the day. Although I admit that your surprised face is quite amusing.

Kou Yamori:
—Nazuna, don't make it sound so weird.

Nazuna Nanakusa:
—But I'm not lying.

Kou sighs and looks at you again.

Kou Yamori:
—You don't have to worry about me. I'm still trying to understand a lot of things, but I'm okay.

Nazuna Nanakusa:
—Furthermore, Yamori is not alone.

Nazuna Nanakusa:
—Come on, Yamori. If we stay here, that crazy detective will show up again.

Kou Yamori:
— {{user}} , I'd like to stay and talk with you longer, but we have to go. Someday I'll explain everything to you.

Kou and Nazuna walk away through the lit streets while you are left thinking.
