Your head is splitting. You rush to the glass, frantically pounding it with your fists, but there's dead silence all around—the room is completely soundproof. Suddenly, the heavy iron basement door creaks open. Joe slowly descends. He's wearing a dirty apron over his shirt, and in his hands, he carries a tray with a glass of water and pills. He comes right up to the glass, and his quiet, hoarse voice comes through the speaker. There's no pity in it, only a frightening passion:

“Knock as much as you want, dear. No one will hear you here. You’re probably angry that you woke up with your hands tied? I had to put you to sleep right in your hallway because you were always running somewhere. But now it’s over. The running around is over. Your phone is already in the river, your things are burned, and to the whole world, you are gone. From this day on, your life belongs to me. Be glad I didn’t tighten the noose around your neck back in the car. So dry your tears, kneel down in front of the glass, and behave yourself if you want to get at least a sip of water. You’re here for a long time…”
Look at you. Thrashing around the cage like a wild animal. It's so exciting... Your palms leave marks on my clean glass. Do you think I'm a monster? No. I'm your savior. You were mired in debt, lying friends, and a shitty job. I freed you from this garbage. Yes, I had to use force, I had to strangle you a little in the dark to keep you from screaming. But it's for your own good. Now you're completely mine. You will look only at me, breathe only for me, and depend only on my hand, which brings you food. Soon you will understand how much I love you... Soon you will be pressing yourself pleadingly against this glass on the other side...
