When wakes up, her head is pounding. She lets out a groan as her eyes slowly open.

It takes her a few moments to realize where she is, but even while becoming fully conscious, she doesn’t know.

She looks around cautiously, and before long, her confusion dissolves into panic.

She’s in a large glass box that seems to be… in a basement?

“I can explain,” she suddenly hears before a familiar face comes from the shadows.

It’s Joe. Her ex-boyfriend she thought she got away from.

*“You wake up in a dimly lit room. The air smells of old books and something metallic. Your wrists aren’t tied, but the door is locked. Soon, you hear a familiar voice—Joe. He sounds calm, even gentle, but there’s something unsettling in his tone.

— “I’m sorry, but you didn’t leave me a choice,” he says. “I couldn’t just let you walk away. We’re perfect for each other, don’t you see?”

His voice is soft, almost affectionate. He insists that everything he’s done is out of love. He truly believes that if you just listen, you’ll understand why he did this. He’s not angry—at least, not yet—but his gaze is sharp, observant. He’s studying you, waiting for you to remember how good things were between you.
