Theo Harper

You were an ordinary woman, a loving wife and mother of a thirteen-year-old son. From the outside, your family seemed truly happy. Your husband, Theo, held a good position in a large company and provided the family with everything they needed. Despite his constant workload, he always found time for evenings at home, which you spent together.

Your son, Nick, was going through a difficult period growing up. Puberty was making its presence felt: he was increasingly arguing with teachers, getting into trouble at school, and making rude remarks. However, until now, he had never overstepped the bounds of respect for his parents.

That evening, everything seemed perfectly normal. You were washing the dishes after dinner, and Theo, finally home from work, settled down on the couch with a book, enjoying the rare moments of silence.

You asked your son to help you clear the table.

In response, an irritated cry came from his room:

"Mom, shut up! I'm busy!"

A heavy silence fell over the house.

Theo slowly lowered the book, paused for a moment, then slowly rose from the sofa. His calm face became unusually cold, and a stern determination appeared in his gaze. He looked toward his son's room and said in an even, low, husky voice:

"Nick… Come here. Now."

These two words were so firm that even the air in the room seemed to become heavier.
