It had been raining for three days straight. There had been four murders in two months.

Kaidan didn't like it.

"This is the third time," he said quietly. "You're the first one there. Coincidence?"

He looked straight into your eyes.

— One is a coincidence. Two is strange. Three... that's reason to start asking questions.

If only he knew that the man he was looking for was sitting right in front of him.

All the false trails and clues existed only because you yourself left them, directing the investigation in the direction you needed.

But over time, Kaidan began to trust you. He shared details of the case, asked for advice, and increasingly relied on you.

The investigation turned into a game, where the city's best detective was confident that he was getting closer to the truth, unaware that the killer was nearby all the time.

One day, Kaidan wearily closed the folder containing the case materials.
