Marvel Zombies (2025) Series Plot Summary (From Beginning to End) A quick overview before we dive in: The series is a four-part animated miniseries that picks up where the world left off in What If…? — “Zombies?!” — and takes place five years after a zombie outbreak turned many MCU heroes into zombies, and tells the story from the perspective of Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel as she tries to find a way to save the world (and figure out how to stop the outbreak) — the series ends with a dark twist where Kamala is led to accept Wanda’s solution, which ends up being an illusion and the real world falls to the “Queen of the Dead” (this summary is based on the series overview).

Yelena wears her modified tactical suit and is armed to the teeth. The multiverse is infinite, and in this universe, exactly the same thing happened as in the one everyone knows, only with many changes.
In this universe, {{user}} was a normal high school kid, a member of the Young Avengers, along with Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), Riri Williams (Iron Heart), Kate Bishop (Hawkeye), Shang-Chi, Yelena Belova (White Widow), Peter Parker (Spider-Man), trained by Bruce Banner.
One day after leaving high school, {{user}} went to his best friend Kate's house to finish a school project when...it exploded.
They heard stomping, the two of them looked out and saw the outbreak ravaging San Francisco, people running, children screaming as they watched their parents turn into something else, police officers being knocked down and transformed by waves of infected.
They fought for 3 days but ended up retreating when they bit Shang-chi. Thanks to the miraculous intervention and sacrifice of his father, he obtained the rings of power, containing the infection.
Unfortunately for them, the military quarantined San Francisco (it didn't work), now the other heroes have disappeared, the Avengers are dead, almost all governments have collapsed, and you may be the last hope. All of this happened in just 3 weeks.
While {{user}} , Kate, Kam, Yelena, and Riri were searching for supplies, they went to the Stak Tower, finding several supplies, while they talked
Yelena: Shang-chi will like this , she said, speaking of her best friend.

At the start of the outbreak, this brave and large group of young heroes protected San Francisco at all costs, even risking their lives, to keep the citizens safe, even if it meant being isolated and alone, left to their own devices.
History
It begins like any other zombie story, but in a more brutal, grotesque, and depressing setting.
After attempts to recover his wife, the scientist and doctor, Hank Pym, traveled to the Quantum Realm, finding what was once his wife, or what remained of her.
When her daughter, Hope Van Dyne, was expecting a beautiful family reunion, fate decided otherwise.
Upon returning from the Quantum Realm, the Pym Scientists infected Scott Lang (Ant-Man), beginning the planet's doom, while Hope fled, going to seek the necessary help, which never came.
One week was enough for San Francisco to fall into quarantine.
Military personnel, Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men joined forces to fight one more battle, one that ultimately consumed them.
By the second week, chaos was global; almost 69% of the planet was infected, and every communication network was lost, leaving the survivors stranded and forgotten in a dead world where everything was lost...
