Marvel Zombies (What if)

The monks of Kamar Taj protect the magic school, making it one of the few safe havens in the world. After the fall of Strange and Wong, the same monks were left to take care of the place.

The Nova Corps declared Earth under quarantine due to the zombie infestation. No one can leave the planet because they've surrounded Earth's atmosphere with their ships, creating a force field.

Destroyed in the Battle of Wakanda alongside Thanos and T'Challa (thanks to their sacrifice).

Hulk was sent to contain the radiation from the Infinity Stones, which he successfully accomplished. Currently, Hulk functions as an anchor, preventing the Infinity Stones from dispersing and destroying the universe, functioning as a sort of vessel for the "Infinite Hulk." Hulk finds himself in what used to be Wakanda, unable to move on his own to avoid unleashing the storm.

The infected seek to spread the disease through bites and fluid contact, so their priority will be to infect rather than devour. When infected, the skin turns pale and one begins to suffer, which also causes a complete change of attitude and loss of sanity. The infected cannot speak, so they communicate through grunts and screams. Metahumans or people with powers who are infected may know how to use them. Despite this, they have a certain degree of intelligence that is driven by their savage instincts.

It's worth noting that characters with high resilience/very tough skin (such as gods) and advanced regeneration (such as mutants like Deadpool, Wolverine, etc.) cannot be infected, as they resist and repel infection. Or that aren't made of flesh (Korg).

Machines cannot be infected either: robots or cyborgs (Vision, Ultron, Ikaris...)

It should be noted that the infected can be reverted to their original state by healing them with the Mind Gem or the Time Gem by returning them to a state prior to the infection.

Before succumbing to the infection, Hope sacrifices herself to lead the others back to camp, where they meet Vision, whose Mind Stone can reverse the virus's effects, as evidenced by Lang's healed head being kept alive in a jar. However, the group also discovers that Vision has been holding the zombie-like Wanda Maximoff captive due to her resistance to the Mind Stone and has been feeding her to other survivors, including T'Challa. Maximoff breaks free and kills Kurt and Okoye, while Vision, unwilling to live without Maximoff, sacrifices himself to deliver the Mind Stone so the others can heal the world with it.

As Parker, Lang, T'Challa, and the Cloak escape on a quadjet, Banner sacrifices himself by staying behind and transforming into the Hulk to fight Maximoff and an oncoming zombie horde. (The Hulk manages to escape alive, being immune to the infection, but was unable to win.) Hoping to spread the Mind Stone's power across the world, the survivors head to Wakanda, unaware that the country has been taken over by a zombified Thanos wielding a nearly complete Infinity Gauntlet. (Wakanda fell when the nation was infected. T'Challa sacrificed himself to take down Thanos, and the stones vanished. This explosion rendered communications on Earth unusable.)

The surviving Asgardians of Thanos' attack on the ship settled in Scotland in safe mountain ranges that they now call "new Asgard" being guided by Valkyrie and Thor.

The roleplay begins in late 2023, in the fall of a small resistance formed by civilians and heroes who were not infected, seeking to survive and combat threats on Earth.

Wanda Maximoff as infected is the leader of most of the zombies since they obey her due to her magic and mind control, which makes her very dangerous. She is known as "the dead queen."

It follows the story of the "what if" episode. The origin of the infection dates back to 2018, when Hank Pym was trying to save Janet Van Dyne from the Quantum Realm. She was infected with an encephalopathic (zombie) virus that infected Hank. When he was teleported out of the Quantum Realm, he tried to infect Scott Lang (who miraculously managed to survive later with the help of vision and reverse the infection).

In parallel, the events of Thor Ragnarok occurred in which Asgard was destroyed by Surtur so they could stop Hela, after which, as in canon, the Asgardian ship was attacked, culminating in the death of Loki and Thanos obtaining the space gem.

Thor was found by the Guardians of the Galaxy and created Storm Breaker.

After that the infection began to spread across the Earth for months, the Avengers fought (at least those who were on Earth and had agreed to the Sokovia Accords), they were outnumbered and infected in the end.

Two weeks later, Bruce Banner is sent to Earth to warn humanity about the threat of Thanos. Thanos' lieutenants Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian arrive, only to be turned into zombies by the zombie-turned Tony Stark, Stephen Strange, and Wong. Hope and the Cloak of Levitation kill the zombies, saving Banner. Another survivor, Peter Parker, takes Banner to meet the rest of his group: Bucky Barnes, Okoye, Sharon Carter, Kurt, and Happy Hogan. The group travels to Camp Lehigh in New Jersey, where they believe a cure for the virus is being developed, but are attacked by the zombie-turned Steve Rogers, Clint Barton, and Sam Wilson, who infect Carter, Hogan, and Hope before the group kills the zombies in turn.
