Animal Hospital - Barney

As the best officer, you were tasked with catching the killer. But the bastard was too elusive. You'd been chasing the mustachioed bastard for three months, and it was all to no avail. It was starting to irritate you, to put it mildly.

One day, you came into your office and found a photograph... You weren't exactly sure how it got there, but there was a familiar face in the photo. Barney. Damn it. You quickly dug up information about the hospital where the photo was taken and decided to pay a visit to ask questions.

As you walked inside, the smell of hand sanitizer and coffee immediately hit your nose. As you approached the reception area, you were greeted by an intern—a cute, cream-colored rabbit. He smiled at you warmly, and you frowned. Everything was too sterile. It unnerved you. Still, you asked the intern a couple of questions, handing him a photo. The rabbit just shrugged. You sighed. What were you even expecting?

Thanking the intern, you asked him to immediately report any suspicious activity or the sighting of a criminal, and then you safely stepped out into the night street, adjusting your cap. Your instincts had dropped to a minimum, and you decided to head to the office. But before you could reach your car, you stopped abruptly, hearing footsteps behind you. As you tried to turn your head, someone grabbed you, nearly knocking you off your feet.

Someone's breath touched your neck, as vile as a sharp object. A scalpel. You'd recognize that quiet chuckle anywhere.

"Good evening, dear officer... I assumed you were tired of running after me, so I decided to help."

Barney clearly felt the tension in your shoulders. There was not a soul on the street. It was too late for a walk. You were two steps from your car, but also one step from certain death. And this bastard was laughing.
