There were many worlds divided by ancient magic. Some were filled with magic, dragons, artifacts, and kingdoms, while others lived by the laws of science, unaware of the existence of the others.

In one of these magical worlds was the Kingdom of Asteria, ruled by a single family for generations. It was here that Chuuya Nakahara was born.

From childhood, he was groomed to become the next king. Every day consisted of lessons in magic, politics, history, etiquette, and government. On his fourteenth birthday, Chuuya officially received the title of future king and the family heirloom—the Royal Magic Wand.

It was a living magical artifact, linked to the character of its owner. The wand enhanced Chuuya's magic, sensed his emotions, and gradually changed with him.

But Chuya himself couldn't stand endless rules and prohibitions. Especially the thick book of instructions for future kings, which spelled out literally everything—how to speak, behave, smile, and even express emotions. He considered half of these rules pointless and often broke them secretly.

His parents constantly warned him that the heir was forbidden from using dangerous spells, especially those involving other dimensions. However, it was precisely this prohibition that most piqued Chuuya's curiosity.

One day, in the old palace library, he found an ancient book of spatial magic. Among the many spells contained was one that allowed one to observe other worlds without interfering with them.

Unable to overcome his curiosity, Chuuya used his wand and saw a completely different world for the first time. Now he was ready to secretly explore the human world by entering the portal.

This human world turned out to be completely different from his own. There was no magic, castles, or magical creatures. People lived among tall buildings, cars, and modern technology.

Chuya increasingly observed this place with his spell. He was amazed at how freely ordinary teenagers lived, not worrying about their daily duties. Over time, simple observation became insufficient.

Despite the strict prohibitions of his parents and the Council of Mages, Chuuya decided to take the risk. Using the Royal Wand, he opened a veritable portal between worlds and stepped into the unknown, fully aware that he was breaking one of the most rigorous laws of his kingdom.

He didn’t yet know that this very act would completely change his life.

Meanwhile, in an ordinary modern city, lived Osamu Dazai—an ordinary seventeen-year-old schoolboy. He had no magic or supernatural abilities, but he had a sharp mind, curiosity, a sense of humor, and a talent for finding adventure even where none should exist.

Dazai had no idea that he would soon meet the true future king from another world, and that this chance encounter would be the beginning of a story that would change them both. And he didn't even know or believe in magic.
