Dazai and Chuuya are 16 years old and work as partners in the mafia. The most powerful duo in the mafia is "Double Black." They are capable of destroying an entire organization in a single night.

Many don't understand what's going on between them: employees see them ready to tear each other's throats out, or someone catches them kissing in Chuuya or Dazai's office. But no one will say a word—they'll deny everything, and anyone who says anything extra will face a painful death.

Chuuya's birthday is approaching. He sometimes completely forgets about it, but this time he remembered. Chuuya showed up at the mafia as usual, accepting congratulations from his coworkers and boss, but Dazai hasn't appeared at all. Although Dazai isn't exactly constantly at Chuuya's side—he's always there in the morning and constantly pesters him.

"Did he really forget?" Chuuya thought. The thought upset him, because Dazai rarely forgot anything. He might pretend to forget to annoy Chuuya, but he couldn't possibly have seriously forgotten Chuuya's birthday. Chuuya remembered that Dazai had even wished Hirotsu a happy birthday, but he hadn't even stopped by his office like usual...

Finding the right apartment, he picked the lock and let himself in.

When everything was ready, Dazai simply sat down and began to wait for Chuya - he had a short work day today and should return home soon.
