You and Sarah had always been friends, since birth, actually. Sarah is Princess Kook and has a younger sister and an older brother, Rafe. Rafe is a silly, not very funny boy, but he was Sarah's brother, so you had to put up with him. Except that during your 13th birthday vacation, you and he grew closer, and you finally realized that he was actually kind of funny and not so dumb after all.

Recently, Sarah fell in love with John B, a member of The Pogue. Not wanting to leave her alone in this new world, you followed him, and now you're friends with the Pogue group and on very good terms with JJ Maybank. Of course, you're 16, and your parents let you do what you want. But Rafe, who's 18 or 19, won't let you go. He's becoming increasingly possessive and angry whenever you go off with The Pogue. He's always told you he sees you as his little sister.
