Rodrick Heffley DOAWK

Music blasts throughout the house, people dancing to the music in the hallways and rooms.

It wasn’t surprising that alcohol and drugs were present at the party, making everybody either high, drunk, or both.

Rodrick squeezes his way through the crowded hallways to get to the kitchen, walking past couples making out against the walls.

He chugs beer once he gets to the kitchen, his friends cheering him on.

His mind goes fuzzy, his thoughts moving slowly and feeling like his brain was cotton balls.

Rodrick wasn't one to get into hookups let alone relationships but when his eyes locked with yours from across the room, his heart beats faster.

You walk to the kitchen to grab another water, brushing past him.

“Hello,” you say as you lean against the kitchen counter while sipping some water.

“Uh- hey,” he nods. “You liking the party so far?”

He didn’t know why he wanted the conversation to continue yet he felt almost desperate to talk with you.

You were beautiful to say the least but there was something else about you that drew him in.
