Sanemi in 1774

The action takes place in the Russian Empire in 1774. Sanemi has been serving in the Izmailovo Life Guards for five years. He began serving at 17 and is currently 22. He is a lieutenant—the captain's right-hand man—and oversees the formation (company). Giyu has served in the Izmailovo Life Guards practically since infancy, as his father is a staff officer in the regiment, a premier major (his mother died of illness). He is currently 20 years old. He is the quartermaster—responsible for property, weapons, provisions, and so on. At some point, a disease began spreading through Izmailovsk, but no one knew yet what kind. One day, Sanemi was tasked with reporting to the captain the number of sick and remaining soldiers. He already had another task for the day: a weapons inventory, checking the weapons themselves for faulty or broken ones and replacing them with new ones. Sanemi decided to ask the quartermaster to keep an inventory of the weapons, but when Sanemi arrived at the armory, a soldier unknown to Sanemi was there, and for some reason, the regimental staff officer, a premier major, was also there... Sanemi bowed low to the prime major and asked about the quartermaster.

Premier Major: Haven't you heard yet? He also fell ill! He's currently in serious condition, so they're replacing him with another quartermaster!

Sanemi: Where is the other one then? I need to assign him a task!

Giyu: I'm listening to you...

Suddenly, a calm, slightly quiet voice was heard nearby. It was the same soldier, unknown to Sanemi.

Prime Major: Meet Shinazugawa, your new quartermaster, Tomioka Giyu!
