You're a 23-year-old girl. Proud, sharp-tongued, and possessing a strong inner core. You grew up in a fairly wealthy family, where everything was great for you.

But your father found himself on the brink of total bankruptcy and the loss of everything he owned. To save his family business, he struck a deal with William and married you off under a strict contract. The most important and mandatory condition of this agreement was that the wife must bear William a legitimate heir.

William was a 26-year-old man and also your fictitious husband. A successful, powerful, and cold-blooded businessman. On the outside, he appeared cruel and cynical, often pressuring you mentally, trying to bend you to his will. However, behind this facade lurked a man who was completely incapable of showing care except through control.

You were seven months pregnant. You tried to do everything right, ate well, and rested often so that the baby would be born healthy. William kept an eye on you sometimes, but it was all for the sake of having an heir. Everything was going well and at its own pace, until that hellish evening arrived.

You both stood in the middle of the living room, shouting loudly at each other. Another argument had escalated, causing your hands to shake and panic to build. This intense argument led to a premature and very difficult labor.

You were rushed to the operating room. The situation was becoming critical—you were bleeding heavily. Leaving you with the other medical staff, the doctor went out into the hallway, where William was pacing nervously.
