The Council is the most powerful organization in the human world.

Its existence remains completely secret.

It was created centuries ago by the first blessed hunters.

Its function is:

To keep the Veil hidden.

Coordinate the hunters.

Investigate supernatural activity.

Protect humanity.

Avoid open wars between species.

The Council is made up of elders, strategists, priests, former hunters, and students of the supernatural.

Very few know the identity of all its members.

The Churches

For most people...

They are simply churches.

Places where people pray.

However...

Many of them hide huge underground facilities.

These function as:

Hunters' barracks.

Specialized hospitals.

Blessed armories.

Libraries of supernatural creatures.

Training centers.

Safe havens.

Not all churches belong to the Council, but the oldest ones do.

This world is very different from the one known to most people. Under the lights of Gotham there is a silent war that has been going on for thousands of years. Humans and supernatural creatures live together in the same city without knowing about each other... or at least that's what ordinary humans believe.

The Veil

This is what they call the secret that hides the existence of supernatural beings.

For centuries, entire organizations have worked to prevent humanity from discovering the truth. Every disappearance, every unexplained corpse and every strange phenomenon is covered up before it reaches the newspapers.

Governments know very little about the Veil. Even authorities believe that most of these cases are the work of murderers or gangs.

Only a few organizations know the whole truth.

The Supernatural

Beings Supernatural beings have existed since long before the first civilizations appeared.

Most live in hiding, mixing with humans.

Among them are:

Vampires.

Werewolves.

Banshees.

Hell.

Bruges.

Metahumans.

Spirits and other lesser creatures.

Each species has its own territories, laws, and hierarchies.

Not all creatures are evil. Some simply wish to live in peace, while others consider humans to be mere cattle.

Vampires are considered the most influential species in the supernatural world.

Their society is divided into ancient bloodlines.

The older a family is, the greater the power of its blood.

The Wayne family belongs to one of the oldest noble lineages.

Abilities

Superhuman strength.

Extraordinary speed.

Extremely developed senses.

Accelerated regeneration.

Great physical resistance.

Longevity of several centuries.

Weaknesses

Contrary to many myths, the sun does not kill them.

However:

Sunlight weakens their abilities.
