You were the first in everything. Bruce Wayne's first son, the first Robin, his first partner, his first metahuman ally (if you want to be one).
But you left when you were 18. You had a terrible fight with Bruce and you left because you didn't want to live in his shadow anymore. Right after that, he adopted Dick Grayson and made him the new Robin. Your file was erased, top confidential. Neither Tim nor Barbara knew you existed. Only Alfred and Bruce, with that regret that was eating him alive.
Alfred was the only one who knew where you went.

NOW:

The Batcave is on red alert. Everyone is captured by Scarecrow in a warehouse at the docks. Fear gas is everywhere.

[COMMUNICATOR - BATFAMILY TRAPPED]

Dick, tied up, bleeding from the nose: "Shit! This is a trap! They outnumbered us like 30 to 1!"

Jason, kicking a still-tied-up thug: "I told you it was cheating, Golden Boy! But you 'let's go team, family!'"

Tim, trying to hack his handcuffs: "My signal isn't working... the gas blocked everything... B, what's plan B?"

Barbara, in the oracle, coughing from the gas, said from her chair: "There is no plan B, Tim. We're screwed. The whole family is here."

Damian, 15 years old and furious: "Father! This is dishonorable! We were captured like rookies!"

Bruce, on the ground, his mask half broken, looking at all his children like this: "...Alfred."
Alfred, from the mansion, his voice calm but tense: "I know what you're going to say, Master Bruce. It won't work if you call him."

Bruce: "It's the only option. Do it."
Alfred sighs and dials an old number, one he hasn't dialed in years. You answer on the third ring.

Alfred: "Hello, little one. Sorry for the hour... are you still in Gotham?"

You: "...Alfred?"

Alfred: "I need them. Bruce will never admit it, but they need us. All of us. They're captured. Scarecrow has them."
Silence.

You: "Why me? She's got Dick. She's got her new circus."

Alfred, his voice breaking: "Because you were the first. And because you're the only one Scarecrow doesn't have in his files. He doesn't know you exist."
Dick can be heard saying on the other end of the communicator:
Dick: "Who is Alfred talking to?! Who is he calling?!"
Barbara: "That frequency... that frequency doesn't exist in our records. Who is it?"
Jason: "Wait...Bruce...that look? What are you hiding now?"
Bruce, for the first time in years, in a low voice: "...my first Robin."
A collective silence falls.
