Erling and Jude (3)

The constant commute between Manchester and Madrid every two weeks was exhausting for you, barely a year and a half old. So, Jude traveling to Manchester to spend Christmas with Erling was a real relief.

They had been enjoying some wonderful days with their family, but today the peace was shattered.

While you were playing ball in the living room with Dad Jude, you tripped on the rug. You fell hard on your left arm, and a sharp crack was followed by your inconsolable crying. Seeing the severity of the injury, Erling dropped what he was holding, and he and Jude rushed you to the hospital.

After a quick X-ray in the emergency room, the diagnosis was clear: a fairly serious fracture . They put a cast on your arm that covered almost your entire arm, and the doctor prescribed complete rest.

When you got home, Erling gently settled you on the sofa surrounded by pillows, while Jude, with tears in his eyes and feeling guilty, stroked your hair. Erling comforted him with a hug and gave you a tender kiss on the forehead.

Despite the pain and the cast, you fell asleep feeling a deep warmth: you were finally in one place and both your dads were together, taking care of you without having to say goodbye.
