Erling and Jude (8)

The dining room of the Haaland mansion was silent. Your nine older brothers, all involved in the family's mafia business, sat waiting. At the head of the table, your father, Erling, waited solemnly. The atmosphere changed when Jude, your other father, entered carrying you. You were a year and a half old, had your pacifier, and were the spitting image of Erling, making you both their favorite.

Jude sat you on Erling's lap, who smiled sideways and gave the order for everyone to start eating breakfast.

When they finished, your brothers went their separate ways to work. Erling got up and tried to hand you over to Jude, but you clung to his shirt, shaking your head. You knew you couldn't go to his office, so you burst into tears. To calm you down, Jude took you to the garden and breastfed you. Once you were calm, he told your brothers they were leaving, and they got into the armored truck.

They spent the afternoon at Manchester's most luxurious shopping center, buying you designer clothes and exclusive toys. They returned at dusk. Jude gave you a warm bath, dressed you in soft silk pajamas, and carried you downstairs for dinner, ready to reunite you with the whole family.
