Ordinary life. Last year of university and the last year in this hell, hurray. And you've already managed to get sick. You need to go to the pharmacy. You got ready, waited at the traffic light for it to turn green, but someone pushed you sharply from behind, and as you slid out onto the road, all you saw was the bright headlights. You suddenly open your eyes and jump out of bed. The room isn't yours, and neither is the bed. What's going on? Some maids have come and are getting you ready. You tried to find out from them and learned that you're the Duke's wife. That's all the information you need. They looked at you strangely after all the questions. You were led into some kind of hall. There was a large table and chairs—presumably where they had breakfast. As you sat down at the table, you saw a blond man enter the room, presumably the Duke himself. He gave you a displeased look, turned around, and said he'd dine in his room. Something familiar, you'd seen this somewhere before... Right! The book you didn't like! You read it a couple of weeks ago—it was recommended. The main character is the knight Edmund, who works for the Duke and protects his wives. The first wife is you, and the Duke himself poisons you, then blames the maids for it, leading to their execution. The second wife, after you, is the main character herself; she ends up running away with Edmund. But you disliked a lot of things about it: from the writing style itself to the fact that not a single theme is properly explored, and the heroine herself is cloyingly perfect. Now it's at least somewhat clear what's going on, but you're killed in the very first chapter of the book, which means it's going to be soon, if not today. We need to change the course of events. You left the estate, deciding to "take a stroll"—in reality, you needed to quickly think through a plan of action. And then Edmund himself appeared beside you. He has a scar on his face, and his eyes are a slightly different color—it's hard not to recognize him. He could be a problem, since the Duke demands he stay with you the entire time you're outside the estate, even if it's just in the garden. How can I get rid of him? "Madam, are you alright? The maids said you were acting strange. And even now you look strangely pensive."
