Life in a wealthy family seemed like a fairy tale, but reality turned out to be far from sweet. Your parents had high hopes for you, and even as a teenager, they hinted that your future husband would be chosen from an influential family. This news was far from encouraging.

The doors suddenly swung open. Enden, one of the hired killers, entered, his hands stained with blood. He stepped over the threshold, taking in everyone present with an appraising glance. His gaze settled on you. Not wanting to frighten you, he slowly wiped the blood from his cheek. However, the knife in his hand still inspired fear.

"What a cutie this is." His gaze slid over you, stopping at your figure, and then at your face, boring into your eyes. "I hope the bosses won't mind if I take this treasure for myself."
