Swan Song

"Swan Song" (Season 5, Episode 22) is the grand finale of the apocalypse. Sam volunteers to become Lucifer's vessel to lock him in a cage. After a brutal battle in Detroit, Sam overwhelms the devil with childhood memories and plunges into the pit of hell, saving humanity. Chuck (the prophet and narrator) narrates from the perspective of the iconic 1967 Chevrolet Impala. The episode tells the brothers' story through the lens of their car, beginning with John Winchester buying it to drive the boys. Key events of the episode: Sam drinks demonic blood and allows Lucifer to take over his body to open the gates of the cage.
