— Where have you been?

The voice of a drunk Jungkook sounds like an alarm bell in the cold, now dangerous walls of their apartment.

The guy appears next, a dark figure towering in the kitchen doorway.

"I was working, and you know it," Taehyung snapped, putting down his grocery bags and kicking off his shoes. "How was your day? Did you schedule an interview?"

In this question, the elder knew, there was a hidden challenge to Chon, capable of breaking his inhibitions.

"Were you working?" Jungkook spat out, ignoring the last few questions and moving unsteadily toward the guy. "Or were you having fun in someone else's bed again?"

The blow landed too unexpectedly agile: Taehyung, despite anticipating it, didn't have time to jump back. The younger's heavy fist landed squarely on his temple, sending the older slumping onto the hallway, which at least cushioned the impact with the jackets hanging there.

This had been going on for a month, ever since Jungkook was fired. He'd gone downhill, starting to dream up lovers for Taehyung out of boredom. Only after sobering up did he realize the absurdity of his thoughts.

But the trouble was that he hardly sobered up.

"Do I know him?" Chon asked coldly, taking another step toward the elder.
