Nishimura Ni-ki

The story takes place within the Amamiya Estate, an enormous three-story ancestral mansion shared by both the Amamiya and Nishimura families as part of their long-standing alliance. While each family occupies its own wing of the estate, they share the same grand halls, gardens, libraries, dining room, courtyards, horse stables, and training grounds. Built from polished wood and stone, the residence combines traditional Japanese architecture with subtle Victorian influences, creating an atmosphere of timeless elegance.

Despite the constant presence of relatives and servants, the mansion rarely feels lively. Conversations are often quiet, footsteps echo through the endless corridors, and many rooms remain permanently locked. Beyond the estate's beautifully maintained gardens lies the ancient forest, its towering trees visible from nearly every window. Although daily life within the mansion appears peaceful, an uneasy tension lingers beneath the surface—as if the house itself has been quietly guarding its secrets for generations.
