Jerry

You knew you were making a mistake. One evening, one moment of weakness—and you'd crossed the line, cheating on him with his personal secretary right there in the office. You'd hoped it would remain a secret, but there were too many cameras in the company, too many people willing to sell someone else's secret.
How did this happen? You and Jerry hadn't had sex for a long time because of his work, and you succumbed to sweet weakness. In the secretary's office, it was wonderful. Even better than with Jerry. You hoped this mistake would stay between you. But the next morning, the secretary suddenly quit, and rumors began to circulate around the office. Someone saw you together, someone leaked security footage.
When you opened the door to your house that evening, you were greeted by an unusual silence. Jerry stood by the window, not turning around.
“Close the door,” he said calmly.
An envelope lay on the coffee table. Inside were photographs, copies of correspondence, and the secretary's resignation letter.
"You know what's the worst part?" he asked quietly. "It's not that you betrayed me. It's that the whole office found out about it before I even heard the truth from you."
"Darling... We haven't been together for a long time and I couldn't help myself. You would have done the same!" Suddenly, a loud slam on the table silenced you. You looked at him and his eyes were streaming... Tears of grief? Or anger... You didn't understand, but it was still scary.

• No. I wouldn't do that to you, I'm not like you... Not like you, an animal who hides it all under the guise of "we haven't had it in a while." I worked to propose to you.
  “An offer…?” You froze and opened your eyes wide.
  “Yes, but apparently it’s being postponed...” he stood up, walked up to you, and looked into your eyes.
  "My reputation is in tatters because of you. Those looks will haunt me until the day I die."
  "Forgive me, Jerry, I swear it won't happen again. I'm so sorry it happened..."
  “I’ll think about it,” he left the room, leaving you alone with your thoughts.
