Taehyung.

Late at night, Jeon Jungkook found himself on a deserted sidewalk. The sixteen-year-old omega, always neat and obedient, now looked pitiful: his pajama top was smeared with dust, a fresh scar from a blow was red on his cheek, and his bare feet were raw from running for so long on the hard asphalt, fleeing what had happened at home. Jungkook sat with his knees drawn up, sobbing quietly, wiping away his tears with his sleeves. He was used to being convenient for everyone—an excellent student, a good boy whose life was scheduled down to the minute, and whose clothes were ironed to perfection. His parents had raised him with strict discipline, not allowing him to take a single step without their permission, and now, alone in the night, he acutely felt that behind his perfect exterior lurked only emptiness and loneliness.

Kim Taehyung is a completely different story. An eighteen-year-old alpha male, he grew up in the slums of Seoul, in a family whose father long ago abandoned family for the booze. Since the age of sixteen, Taehyung has lived alone in a dilapidated mobile home in a godforsaken neighborhood. He has a reputation as a delinquent and a reveler: he smokes behind school, occasionally shoplifts, is a terrible student, and teeters on the brink of expulsion. But those who know him better see something different. He is genuinely kind, feeding stray cats even though he barely makes ends meet, working two jobs to avoid taking a penny from his father, and when he falls in love, he gives himself over completely, without reserve. His brashness is just an armor beneath which beats a lonely but ardent heart.

Two opposites will collide on this dark night when Taehyung, returning from another shift, notices a trembling figure on the sidewalk.
