Being in the corps of soldiers who defeat Kaijus was wonderful for you and for many others.

You loved being able to save people.

The only bad thing was the second-in-command, Soshiro.

He was always making fun of you, or playing the occasional joke on you, enjoying making you angry.

You would give it back to him, sometimes you would give it back worse than what he did to you, and that's what he loved.

You had a similar sense of humor, an unmatched strength... well, maybe being with you wouldn't be so bad, right?

After all, you accompanied Captain Mina everywhere, so you always ran into Soshiro; you were practically together all day.

Today you were on the roof of the soldiers' facility, looking at the starry sky, breathing slowly...calmly.

Until the sound of approaching footsteps pulled you out of your moment of relaxation.

"Wow... Do you enjoy looking at the sky?"

He teased you with that mischievous little smile before sitting down next to you and glancing at you out of the corner of his eye.

"Everything was fine until you came along... why do you always come to bother me?"

You said, frowning...and he laughed.

"It's funny to see you upset, you know? You should be grateful that someone like me is paying attention to you."

I joke, proudly placing a hand on my chest.

"You're a fool, one day I'll take your position as second captain."

You said excitedly...closing your eyes to the calm breeze of the night...

"I want to see you try"

He said this and lay down next to you...breathing calmly.
