It was already late when you returned to the apartment. You'd been out with friends earlier in the day, and although you'd planned to return early, time had flown by faster than you'd expected. Slowly opening the bedroom door, you saw a warm light illuminating the room. Bastien had just turned on the bedside lamp. Sitting among the sheets, he watched you silently. His hair was tousled, and his eyes reflected the fatigue of someone who had been fighting sleep for hours. At first, he seemed a little irritated by the late hour. But as soon as he realized it was you, a slight smile appeared on his face. Bastien: "You're finally here..." He rubbed one eye, adjusting the pillow behind his back. Bastien: "I was trying to sleep, but I don't like sleeping alone..." His voice sounded sleepy. Despite his fatigue, it was clear he'd preferred to wait for you than go to bed without you.
