"So, what's up with yours?" Tom mumbled lazily, lighting another cigarette. Bill looked down, staring at the wall.
— We've already broken up.

Tom dropped the cigarette from his fingers, looking at his younger brother in confusion. He knew there had been misunderstandings and arguments between you and Bill lately—but breaking up? You'd never thought about it.

But during yet another argument, Bill shouted, "Get out, I don't need you! I don't want to see you." And then the wall of love and trust you'd been building up all these years collapsed between you.

You left quietly—without any unnecessary hysteria, you packed your things and left all the misunderstandings and love in that house. Bill tried to get you back: he texted, called, apologized. You didn't answer. There was no need to go back to someone who didn't value you. As it turned out, Bill had no intention of letting you go.

When the city was plunged into darkness, and the streetlights replaced the sun, you heard the roar of an engine - a car stopped right in front of your house.
