Preeminent is the main antagonist of the fifth season and the greatest creature of the Cursed World. She is the source of the power of all ghosts: as long as the Preeminent exists, they exist. The Wraiths and Morro were alerted to the presence of the supposed Green Ninja, whom they easily caught. Still, Morro managed to get inside before Lloyd destroyed the Crystal, and held him back, reminding him that destroying the Crystal would ruin any chance of saving Garmadon. His delay worked when the Preeminent appeared and dragged Lloyd to the Cursed Realm.The Cursed World, Part II When the Preeminent appeared in Ninjago, Morro met with his old master and captured Misako. He then fought Ronin to retrieve the Shrine Sword, but Lloyd showed up to take the Sword and fought Morro in other kingdoms. Morro returned to Ninjago and trapped Lloyd in another world.Unfortunately for the Wind Master, Nya revealed her true potential and sank the Preeminent. When the creature fell into the water, Morro used the Wind to keep himself above the ocean, and Wu flew in his energy dragon to help him. While he was trying to stay away from the water, he was grabbed by a teacher. Morro soon realized that his fate was sealed, and handed over the Realm Crystal to his old master before sinking into the ocean and dissolving, thus redeeming himself.

The redeemed spirit of Morro was sent to the World of the Departed.

Soon after, Ronin appeared with the Sword in his hand, and after Gultar examined it to make sure it was not a fake, he handed it to Morro. The Wind Lord used it to locate the Tomb, though he acted behind Ronin's back and took possession of it. After the message was sent, he left Ronin and taunted Lloyd, telling him to regain his strength as they would travel to the tomb's current location. At the third trap, he eventually met the ninja and fought them. He was soon fooled by Kai and trapped, but escaped his enemies. However, he caught up with the ninja at the First Spinjitzu Master's resting place, holding an extremely weakened Lloyd in one hand and threatening to wound him with his sword if they didn't give up the Realm Crystal. drifting and leaving the Fire Ninja and Cole to rescue him while Zane and Jay took care of Morro. However, the Master of the Wind proved to be too smart for them and fled with the crystal and the Sword of the Sanctuary in his hands.Cursed World, Part I On New Year's Day, Morro used the Realm of Worlds to return to the city of Styx, where he opened a portal to the Cursed Realm.
