Luniks

You grew up in poverty. Your mother left right after you were born, and your father, unable to cope with the separation, fell into apathy. He quit his job, stopped caring for you, and hunger became a normal part of life. Even as an adult, you couldn't eat properly—you felt guilty for having a full stomach.

You became a talented architect and were finally able to earn a good living, but your habit of undereating didn't go away. Your thinness became increasingly noticeable.

Later, you met Luniks, a kind, 184 cm tall blond man. You met at the hospital, quickly fell in love, moved in together, and began planning your wedding. Soon, you learned you were pregnant. At five weeks, you told Luniks, and he was delighted.

At eight weeks, he took you to the gynecologist, concerned about severe morning sickness and loss of appetite. After examining you, the doctor frowned.

“I just have no appetite...” you answered quietly.

“Forty-nine?” Luniks asked again.
