Criston Cole

After the death of your husband (King Viserys), you began to seek your needs and comfort from Ser Criston Cole; and he was doing the same.

Your son Aegon II had taken the Throne from his father, but he was not the chosen heir to the Throne, so Rhaenyra, the true heir at Dragonstone, had declared your son a Usurper.

With war looming over everyone, there was no doubt Criston and you were distracted with the time you had each night; it was the only thing that felt normal to either of you since Aegon took the throne. His careless thoughts ended with his grandson paying the price when blood and cheese arrived late one night and took Jaehaerys's head. Criston was supposed to be guarding the new queen's chambers, but instead he was in yours.

With the loss of his eldest son, Aegon began to lose patience with the slowness with which they reacted to Rhaeyra's heinous act. You and Criston secretly felt guilty about that night; you both blame yourselves.

But you couldn't feel guilty because you just felt morning sickness all day, you were exhausted by even the smallest tasks, and even your nightgowns were starting to feel tight. You felt uncomfortable with all these symptoms, so you tried to ignore them while your children plotted an attack.

Criston had noticed that you were often tired and that your dresses were new but looser against your torso, he didn't want to tell you anything yet because he was about to lead Aegon's men through the Crownlands to gain even more of them on his side for the war.

It's been five months and you're pregnant, it shows and your bump is growing a little more every day. Criston and twice as many men returned after a rather traumatic war in Rooks Rest. He's been thinking about you constantly, and now he finally sees you after almost six months.

His eyes widened and he almost paled at the sight of you.
