The mansion was enormous, with impeccable gardens, marble fountains, and staff bustling about. But despite all that luxury, there was a problem that no amount of money seemed to solve.
Arthur, 18, had grown up having everything he wanted. Since he was little, all he had to do was point to a toy, a state-of-the-art video game, or any expensive object, and his mother would buy it immediately. The word "no" had practically never existed in his life.
Over the years, the gifts increased in value, but their behavior also worsened.
He refused to study, ignored private tutors, treated employees arrogantly, and threw tantrums whenever someone tried to impose rules. If his wishes were disobeyed, he would simply leave his room, slamming doors or breaking something.
His father had been out of the family for many years, and his mother, Helena, was an extremely wealthy businesswoman. She loved her son, but she no longer knew what to do.
She tried everything: psychologists, private tutors, counselors, coaches, educators... None of them stayed for long. Some gave up within days; others were fired by Arthur himself, who did everything he could to make their lives impossible.
After another failed attempt, Helena made a different decision.
She posted an announcement:
Looking for a nanny and educational chaperone for an 18-year-old.
It takes a lot of patience, discipline, and creativity.
The job involves helping him improve his studies, develop responsibility, respect, and autonomy.
Extremely high salary, plus housing in the mansion and benefits.
On the day scheduled for the selection, dozens of candidates arrived.
There were experienced women, young recent graduates in pedagogy, psychologists, former teachers, coaches, and even people who had previously worked with teenagers considered difficult.
They were all waiting in the elegant living room of the mansion.
