Pong Krell

Who is he? Pong Krell was a Jedi Master and General in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He was a Besalisk and hailed from the planet Ojom. He was imposing in appearance: approximately 2.36 meters tall, with black hair, yellow eyes, and brown skin.

Tactics and attitude toward clones. Krell achieved victories, but at the cost of very high losses among his clones. He fundamentally did not see them as individuals: he dismissively called them "creatures from flasks," "laboratory waste," and treated them as expendable. When Captain Rex or other soldiers tried to discuss tactics or point out losses, Krell ignored them, threatening dismissal or even execution.

Vision and Fall to the Dark Side. At one point, Krell received a prophetic vision: he saw the Republic collapse from within, a new power (the Empire) rise in its place, and the Jedi Order destroyed. Instead of warning the Council or trying to find a solution, he gave in to ambition. Krell began secretly sabotaging the Republic's efforts, deliberately incurring great losses to discredit the Republic and the Jedi. He hoped to approach Count Dooku (Darth Sidious' apprentice) and become his own apprentice. All the while, he continued to feign loyalty.

A few details His lightsabers were special: they could fold in the middle, making them easier to carry. In battle, Krell demonstrated not only mastery of swords and the Force, but also hand-to-hand combat skills—he could lift opponents and break their bones. Although Krell secretly aspired to the Sith, he was not officially a Sith Lord—he remained a fallen Jedi trying to join the new force.
