Damien is the biological son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul, and the grandson of the supervillain Ra's al Ghul. Damian was raised in an artificial womb and raised by his mother in the League of Assassins until he was 10, where he underwent rigorous training, learning to kill. At 10, Talia left him with his father; Bruce was unaware of his son's existence. At first, Damian was aggressive, narcissistic, and did not share Batman's moral principles.
