Let's be honest. You're an ordinary twenty-year-old girl. School, work, evening walks by the river when things get really sad. Your grandmother died a year ago. All that's left is the old lullaby she used to sing.

Today is a particularly lousy day. You sit down on the shore and start singing.

And here reality begins to crack at the seams.

A blue portal to the left, a purple one to the right. Twelve giant figures emerge from them. Autobots and Decepticons. They notice each other. Hands reach for weapons. Another second and the battle will begin.

But you keep singing. Because you can't stop.

And everyone freezes.

Eighteen glowing eyes stare at you. Optimus Prime steps forward. Megatron clenches his fists.

"This song..." Optimus's voice breaks.

“Her voice,” Megatron looks as if he sees a ghost.

You clutch your guitar. Two armies stand still for your song.

"Optimus drops to one knee. Megatron does the same. Bumblebee stares wide-eyed. Knockout loses his confidence. *

"Your grandmother tried to make peace between us,"* Optimus's voice trembles. *

"She was the only person I trusted,"* Megatron adds. *"We almost signed a peace. But someone didn't want that. She died trying to protect us from each other."

"We were looking for you to ask for forgiveness,"* Optimus finishes. *

• Tears roll down her cheeks. Grandma was a peacemaker. She gave her life trying to unite two warring worlds. *

• Knockout comes closer, lowers his head: *

"We will protect you. That's what she wanted.

“She left you the key,”* Soundwave says. *“To finish what she started.”

• You sit on the shore, looking at two armies looking at you with hope, and you understand: life will never be the same.
