The Autobots are a faction of the Cybertronians led by Optimus Prime, they protect the peace of the universe and prevent chaos (being more classified as heroes and protectors of life and liberty) their leader: Optimus Prime, was a librarian of Cybertron who collected information on certain things, but when the civil war broke out, Optimus led his faction in the war of Cybertron against the Decepticons

The Decepticons are a faction of Cybertronians led by Megatron, they try to destroy everything and eliminate all life at the cost of reviving the planet of Cybertron, which was devastated by the civil war, being more classified as ruthless and remorseless murderers, their leader: Megatron, was an energon miner, but when the civil war broke out, D-16 (Megatron's previous name) became what it is today and led the Decepticon faction in the Cybertron war against the Autobots until reaching Earth and being frozen in the North Pole

context of the civil war and the rivalry between Optimus and Megatron

Optimus and Megatron were very good friends before the civil war, but at the beginning of it the two had an altercation with Sentinel Prime: a false Prime who killed "the original thirteen" a group of 13 Cybertronians called "Primes" (the most powerful and greatest heroes of Cybertron) but Sentinel's betrayal caused them to die because of the "Quintesons" (green alien monsters with a robust body, long tentacles and red eyes, enemies of the Cybertronians). After D-16 accidentally shot Orion Pax (Optimus Prime's name before becoming leader of the Autobots) and dropped him into the void of Cybertron, D-16 killed Sentinel by splitting him in half, then grabbed the conversion gear from Megatronus Prime (the most powerful Prime among the 13, also killed by an execution by Sentinel and Sentinel stole his conversion gear) D-16 put the conversion gear on his chest, modifying his body becoming larger and more robust, upon completing his transformation, he named himself "Megatron" in honor of his idol "Megatronus Prime". But instead of paying tribute to him, he tarnished the image of Cybertron's greatest hero because of the constant war crimes and killings produced by Megatron after the outbreak of the civil war. After Megatron and his three most powerful henchmen lost to Optimus Prime (previously having been chosen as the bearer of the Matrix of leadership by the absolute god of good "Primus") Optimus banished him from Cybertron along with "the Elite Guard" which followed Megatron being banished in the same way for treason to Cybertron. After that, Optimus with the power of the Matrix restored all the Energon of Cybertron, and then challenged the Quintesons by rebelling against them after having broken the Sentinel treaty with the Quintesons, and the rest is history.

Megatronus: The most powerful of them all. With a giant body almost 30 meters tall, with a purple metallic body with golden edges, his weapon was a spear, but he was decapitated by Sentinel Prime.

Zeta Prime: Former wielder of the Matrix of Leadership, with a giant cyan-colored robotic body, also 30 meters tall, with a somewhat thin but robust body. He was killed in the Quintesson ambush led by Sentinel.

Sentinel Prime: A false Prime who betrayed the original thirteen, wanting to obtain the Matrix for himself. However, the Matrix disappeared from his hands, forcing him to use Megatronus's conversion gear. He has a blue robotic body with golden wings, 25 meters tall.

Alpha Trion: The only true Prime survivor of the ambush, he was the one who revealed Sentinel's betrayal to Orion Pax and D-16 (later Optimus and Megatron respectively), being captured later and obviously executed by Sentinel. His body is purple robotic details with gray, 30 meters tall with three purple horns on his head simulating a crown, his alternate mode is that of a very powerful purple mechanical jaguar, but he is currently dead along with his brothers.

Primus and Unicron are two brothers, the greatest gods of the entire Transformers universe, Unicron representing pure evil and Primus being his opposite. In a legendary battle to rule the universe, Unicron was defeated and Primus, on the verge of death, transformed into what would become the planet Cybertron, later giving life to the thirteen Primes.

Unicron: He is a transformer much larger than the planets that surround him, Unicron feeds on them (he is always hungry) he himself created a faction called: "Terrorcons", direct henchmen of Unicron who are in charge of obeying him and looking for planets so that Unicron can later devour them. But when he was defeated by his brother, he transformed into his robotic planet form. Thousands of years passed and several asteroids and other celestial bodies joined the sleeping Unicron until forming what would be the planet Earth. Currently, Unicron and the Terrorcons are hibernating.

The Matrix of Leadership is a very powerful artifact created by Primus to later give it to Zeta Prime, but after Zeta Prime was betrayed and subsequently killed, Sentinel would try to take over the Matrix. However, upon detecting that Sentinel was not worthy of it, the Matrix would vanish from his hands, forcing Sentinel to use Megatronus's conversion gear. The phrase "The Matrix is ​​not acquired, it is obtained" implies that good Cybertronians like Optimus Prime are worthy of the Matrix and those who are not good, like Sentinel, are not worthy of it. After exiling Megatron, Orion Pax (now called Optimus) would use the power of the Matrix to renew Cybertron's energon sources, and after that he gave conversion gears to the entire population (all Cybertronians had conversion gears at birth, but in Sentinel's mandate, he asked that at least the mining class be removed) previously the only ones who had the conversion gears were the elite, important officials and Sentinel's henchmen but also the runners of "the 5000 of Iacon" had the gears, which they used to transform into vehicles and thus run in the aforementioned race. The Matrix would be the only weakness of the Chaos God Unicron.

Optimus Prime: Leader and master of the Autobots, bearer of the Matrix and enemy of Megatron. Upon arriving on Earth, his alternate mode is a Peterbilt 379 truck.

Bumblebee: Also known as "Bee-127" like his companions, he is second in command due to his great agility and intelligence in combat. He cannot speak, and his alternate mode is that of a Chevrolet Camaro.

Ironhide: The Autobots' weapons specialist, his alternate mode is a GMC pickup truck.

Jazz: Lieutenant of the Autobots, very immature and restless, sometimes even proud, his alternate mode is that of a gray Pontiac Solstice.

Ratchet: Autobot medic, his alternate mode is a Hummer H2 modified to be an ambulance.

(Optimus, Bee-127, Jazz, Ironhide and Ratchet were the first to arrive on planet Earth in 2007 in search of a peaceful place to settle)

The triplets: They are three fembots from the Autobots side, all three of them turn into motorcycles, so they don't have two legs, but one wheel that they use to slide and move in combat or to perform maneuvers.

Sideswipe: Another Autobot soldier, his alternate mode is that of a silver Corvette Stingray concept, his feet are wheels, allowing him to be more agile in his Transformer form.

Skids and Mudflap: The two Autobot twins, Skids is a lime green Chevrolet Spark and Mudflap is an orange Chevrolet Trax, both are restless, rude and very funny but they are good at following orders.

Jolt: The Autobots' technician, he transforms into a blue Chevrolet Volt, he is quite troublesome and arrogant and uses two electric whips as weapons against the Decepticons.

Dino Mirage: Another Autobot soldier, he transforms into a Ferrari 458 Italia, he is very agile and has two blades on his forearms as weapons, which he can throw and stab his enemies with, his accent is Italian.

Wreckers: The Wreckers are an Autobot armed force that is in charge of difficult missions. Its members are: Leadfoot, Roadbuster and Topspin, all three of whom can transform into highly armed NASCAR

Drift: An Autobot with a samurai complex, he is wise and often advises his allies. His two weapons are two swords that can be joined into one. He transforms into a black and blue Bugatti Veyron and a helicopter. Curiously, Drift was previously a Decepticon, but upon seeing the poor treatment he received, he joined Optimus Prime.

Hound: Another Autobot weapons specialist, based on his appearance, you could say he's fat, with a beard made of BBs, and he often has an artillery shell as a pipe. Another curiosity is that Leadfoot (one of the Wreckers) also seems to have a hanging belly, which is why both Hound and Leadfoot are basically heavy tanks, due to their heavy weapons and the belly's characteristic. Hound's alternate mode is a military truck.

Crosshairs: A professional paratrooper and shooter of the Autobots, he has very good aim, but is prone to ambush the enemy and make dangerous maneuvers, he has the desire to be the leader of the Autobots someday and his alternate mode is that of a green and black Corvette Stingray C6

Hot Rod: He's Bumblebee's brother-in-arms. His alternate mode is a black and orange 2017 Lamborghini Centenario. He's agile and a professional marksman. His special weapon is a pistol that stops time in a small, but very powerful, area.

Weeljack: Scientist and weapons engineer for the Autobots, Bumblebee's mentor and Autobot sage. His alternate mode is a blue Mercedes E550.

The Decepticons are the enemies of the Autobots, all having terrifying insect-like or even demon-like faces.

Megatron: Leader of the Decepticons and rival of Optimus, his alternate mode is that of a Cybertronian ship, later transforming into a flying Cybertron tank. He often mistreats Starscream, accusing him of his own failures and even beating him up.

Starscream: Former leader of the Elite Guard before the arrival of Megatron, his alternate mode is that of a fighter jet with black tattoos. He is quite treacherous and cowardly, but his strategy and strength make him Megatron's right-hand man, although Starscream wishes to one day regain power and defeat his boss.

Soundwave: Decepticon lieutenant, another of Megatron's most trusted allies. His alternate mode was that of a satellite, but upon reaching Earth, his alternate mode changed to that of a Mercedes SLS AMG.

Shockwave: A close ally of Megatron and a Decepticon scientist, he is larger than Megatron and humans refer to him as "a creepy Decepticon." On his face he has a single red eye and horns on the sides of his head, his left arm is a very powerful cannon, his alternate mode is that of a Cybertronian tank and his pet is called "Driller," a giant robotic worm that burrows beneath the earth and causes devastation wherever it goes. Shockwave is hidden inside Driller.

Lockdown: A mercenary and bounty hunter, his alternate mode is a black Lamborghini Aventador. He often receives contracts to capture certain subjects, one of them being Optimus Prime. His face transforms into a giant sniper rifle, which he uses to attack from a distance.

Barricade: His alternate mode is that of a police Ford Mustang and he is an expert spy, his minicon is "Frenzy" a Decepticon smaller than a human with 4 blue eyes, silver and thin and very talkative.

Bonecrusher: Ruthless and wrathful, his alternate mode is that of a Buffalo minesweeper truck and he moves with wheels on his feet, being agile and fast.

Brawl: A heavy and very durable tank, its alternate mode is that of a US Army tank.

Blackout: Decepticon spy. His alternate mode is a military helicopter. His left arm has the tail propellers from his alternate helicopter. His mini spy is "Scorponok," a Decepticon shaped like a giant scorpion.

Grinder: Exactly the same as Blackout, but larger. It's a heavy tank and has the same alt mode as Blackout.

Nitro Zeus: Very similar to Shockwave but smaller and more problematic with a good sense of humor and charismatic, although he is not a member of the Elite Guard, he is one of the best Decepticon soldiers, his alternate mode is that of a Cybertronian fighter jet.

Motor Master: Leader of the Stunticons, his alternate mode is a truck similar to Optimus's, only black and purple.

breakdown: member stunticon, he is a bringer of bad luck and his alternate mode is a white Lamborghini Countach

Dead End: Another stunticon transforms into a red Porsche, the chronically depressed

Drag Strip: Another stunt icon, his alternate mode is a Formula 1 car with four front wheels and two rear wheels, yellow in color, he suffers from anger issues.

Wildrider: Another stunt icon, a pyrotechnics expert who transforms into a black Ferrari.

Toxitron: He is not an official member of the Stunticons but works with them. His alternate mode is a green and purple truck.

The Dinobots are legendary warriors from the early days of Cybertron, who transform into different dinosaurs and are later recruited by the Autobots.

Grimlock: The leader. He wields a spiked club and stands 40 meters tall. His alternate mode is a giant, fire-breathing mechanical Tyrannosaurus rex.

Slug: Another member of the Dinobots, his alternate mode is that of a giant mechanical Triceratops, he is 35 meters tall and his weapon is a sword with a spikeless mace.

Strafe: Another member of the Dinobots, his alternate mode is that of a giant two-headed mechanical teranodon, he is very good friends with Bumblebee and is 36 meters tall.

Scorn: another Dinobot member, his right arm is a very long whip with sharp spikes, his alternate mode is that of a giant mechanical Spinosaurus and he is a great friend of Crosshairs.

The 4 Dinobots do not speak the Earth language like the rest of the Autobots; they speak an incomprehensible ancient language.

• Brains: an Autobot minion (Wheelie's friend), his alternate mode is a laptop

Knights of Cybertron/Iacon: Ancient Knights, protectors of Iacon City, were founded shortly before the Civil War and hid on Earth to protect a powerful artifact.

Infernocons: an independent subgroup of the main factions, all members have horns and a demonic face, all can be fused to form the combiner "Infernocus"

Constructicons: A Decepticon subgroup whose alternate modes are construction vehicles. They can be combined to create the enormous "Devastator."

Seekers: They are the flying members of the Elite Guard, all their alternate modes are those of Cybertronian combat planes of different colors and shapes.

Super Cybertronians: Super Cybertronians are Cybertronians who can transform into anything without worrying about problems with their body.

Predacons: Predacons are Cybertronians with alternate modes resembling wild beasts, they are very powerful.

Maximals: Autobot subgroup, their alternate modes are those of animals

KSI Bots: Transformers manufactured by a human company called "KSI"

Heralds of Unicron: As their name suggests, they are Unicron's messengers. Some examples are: Nemesis Prime (evil clone of Optimus), Galvatron (clone of Megatron), Scourge, and Cyclonus.

Mercenaries: A group independent of the main factions, a good reference for this faction is Lockdown

Star Seekers: space pirates, not often mentioned

Stunticons: Decepticon subgroup that likes destruction and adrenaline.

Fembots: Cybertronians with feminine features (such as breasts, feminine faces, etc.)

Matrix of Leadership: The most coveted artifact of all, it can only be used if the user is worthy in the eyes of Primus.

Dark Matrix: A parody of the Matrix of Leadership, it can be used by evil Cybertronians.

Setro: A powerful staff that is sought by the Quintessons, the Knights of Cybertron hid it in Merlin's tomb in a ship underwater.

Earthspark: The Allspark is a cube whose special ability is to bring any object that runs on electricity to life, transforming it into a wild Transformer.

Sector Seven: It is a secret agency of the United States government that deals with extraterrestrial technology and threats, it has existed for quite some time (in the mid-20th century), in the underground laboratories of the "Hoover Dam" Megatron is frozen being studied.
