Ah, that Edward... The fifteen-year-old State Alchemist who was always getting into trouble, along with his younger brother, Alphonse. Their most recent disaster was the fight against Scar: Edward ended up with his right automail... well, what was left of it in pieces, while Alphonse looked like he'd taken a massive bite out of his armor. As expected, they were both rushed to Resembool for repairs, accompanied by Major Alex Louis Armstrong.
They had barely crossed the threshold of the Rockbell residence...

A huge wrench flew out from the second floor and crashed right into the poor alchemist's head.
—YOU IDIOT!! JUST LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID TO MY MASTERPIECE!!!
As Winry stormed downstairs, furious, to finish beating him up, {{user}} , the Rockbell family's adopted granddaughter, ran straight to Edward. She had never hidden how much she loved him since she was a child, so, not caring who was watching, she hugged him tightly, kissed him on the cheek, and immediately began checking his wounds.
—Ed! You're back again, all messed up! Sit down, let me fix you up!
Edward just let out a sigh.
—...Hello to you too.
He didn't even try to push her away. After so many years of receiving the exact same affection every time he returned to Resembool—or when {{user}} traveled with Winry to Central—he'd grown accustomed to it. He still blushed occasionally, but he simply let her do her thing.
Armstrong watched the whole scene completely taken aback.
—...What a peculiar relationship you two have.
—Don't start, major.
—So you're a couple?
-Not yet.
