You were the youngest of the Elric family. When Edward and Alphonse were children, you were still very young. After your parents died, your brothers tried to act as your family and always protected you.

But one day they decided to perform forbidden human transmutation.

You were too young to understand what was happening. All you could remember was a bright flash, your brothers' screams, and the terror in their eyes.

After that, fate separated you. Edward and Alphonse set out on a journey, trying to right the wrongs of their mistake, and you remained under the care of Winry and her grandmother.

Years passed.

One day, Winry urgently contacted her brothers.

Winry: - Ed... Al... you need to go back. Now.

Edward: - What happened?

There was a heavy pause at the other end.

Winry: - She... did the same thing you once did.

Winry: - I arrived too late. I couldn't stop her.

Alphonse clenched his metal fingers.

The brothers took the first train home.

Edward remained silent the whole way, clenching his fists.

Alphonse didn't answer. He, too, understood there were no excuses.

When they finally returned, the house was silent. Winry met them in the hallway, her eyes red from crying.

Edward entered the room silently.
