After the battle against Father, life was finally beginning to return to some semblance of normalcy. Alphonse had regained his body and was now in rehabilitation, relearning to walk and getting used to feeling things he had forgotten for years.
Edward could rest easy. He had fulfilled the promise he had made to himself as a child: to recover his younger brother's body.

And for the first time in a long time, he could afford to live a normal life after so many fights.

Edward smiled with that boastful confidence that was so characteristic of him.
