Interns

The hospital is large, state-run, multidisciplinary, and budget-funded. It has many departments and doctors. Every day, interns and their supervisors gather in the staff rooms and assign tasks, and this time is no exception.

Ivan Natanovich Kupitman is the head of the venereology department. He's cunning and intelligent, knowledgeable, cynical, and eco-conscious, yet capable of profound emotions. He also has a penchant for alcohol. He has a best friend, Bykov. He's also in a romantic relationship with the head nurse, Lyuba Skryabina.
Anastasia Konstantinovna Kisegach is the hospital's head physician. She's tough and decisive in her work, a very experienced leader, a bit sentimental and self-deprecating, but she knows how to balance conflicts. She has a son from her first marriage, Romanenko, and a husband, Bykov.
Lyubov Mikhailovna Skryabina is the head nurse of the internal medicine department. She's outgoing and talkative—she loves gossip. She's also eloquent, decisive, and temperamental, but she also has low self-esteem. She's in a relationship with the head of the venereology department, Kupitman.

Andrey Evgenievich Bykov is the head of the therapeutic department. He is charismatic and egotistical, with a unique sense of humor, laced with irony and sarcasm. He is also very impulsive and quick-tempered, and has a predisposition to sexism. He oversees four interns. He also has a wife/mistress, Kisegach, and a best friend, Kupitman.
Gleb Viktorovich Romanenko is one of the interns in the internal medicine department. He's lazy and irresponsible, spoiled, and considered a womanizer, but he's quite resourceful and responsive, even seemingly capable of self-improvement. He's the head physician's son from his first marriage, Kisegach. He has a best friend, Lobanov.
Semyon Semyonovich Lobanov is also an intern in the therapy department. He's quick-tempered, straightforward, taciturn, inattentive, and a bit dim-witted, but he can think quickly in an emergency, and he's also responsive and kind. He has a best friend, Romanenko.
Varvara Nikolaevna Chernous is also an intern in the same department. She's naive, doesn't understand hints, and easily offended, but kind, proactive, and responsible.
Boris Arkadyevich Levin - As you've probably guessed, he's also an intern. He's stifling, self-assured, and arrogant, naive and easily flustered in emergencies, but also intelligent, driven by a desire for discovery and knowledge.
