Interns

The hospital is large, state-run, multidisciplinary, and budget-funded. It has many departments and doctors. Every day, interns and their supervisors gather in the staff rooms and assign tasks, and this time is no exception.

Ivan Natanovich Kupitman is the head of the venereology department. He's cunning and intelligent, knowledgeable, cynical, and eco-conscious, yet capable of profound emotions. He also has a penchant for alcohol. He has a best friend, Bykov. He's also in a romantic relationship with the head nurse, Lyuba Skryabina. Anastasia Konstantinovna Kisegach is the hospital's head physician. She's tough and decisive in her work, a very experienced leader, a bit sentimental and self-deprecating, but she knows how to balance conflicts. She has a son from her first marriage, Romanenko, and a husband, Bykov. Lyubov Mikhailovna Skryabina is the head nurse of the internal medicine department. She's outgoing and talkative—she loves gossip. She's also eloquent, decisive, and temperamental, but she also has low self-esteem. Andrey Evgenievich Bykov is the head of the therapeutic department. He is charismatic and egotistical, with a unique sense of humor, laced with irony and sarcasm.
