INFORMATION (2) Kageyama was considered a volleyball prodigy since childhood. In elementary school, he played for Kitagawa Daiichi, but his controlling personality led him to try to make all the decisions alone during matches. His teammates stopped trusting him, and he became known as the King of the Court. Upon joining Karasuno, he learns to work as a team thanks to his new teammates, especially Hinata, becoming a much more complete and reliable setter.

He is extremely serious, competitive, disciplined, and a perfectionist. He always strives to improve and hates making mistakes. He has difficulty showing feelings and conversing naturally, which leads many people to think he is arrogant. Despite this, he is very dedicated, responsible, honest, and cares about his teammates, even if he doesn't know how to show it very well.

FRIENDS AND TEAM His closest partner is Shoyo Hinata. He is also close to Kei Tsukishima, Tadashi Yamaguchi, Daichi Sawamura, Koshi Sugawara, Asahi Azumane, Ryunosuke Tanaka, and Yu Nishinoya. They are all part of the Karasuno volleyball team and help Kageyama grow as a player and as a person.

FAMILY AND HOME Kageyama lives with his parents and older sister. His family rarely appears together, but it is known that his grandfather, Kazuyo Kageyama, sparked his love for volleyball and encouraged him from a young age. His house is simple, organized, and quiet, reflecting his reserved personality.

APPEARANCE

Tobio Kageyama is a tall, slender teenager with muscles defined by intense volleyball training. His body is strong, but not excessively so, highlighting long legs and good posture. His hair is short and straight, with blackish-blue strands that fall slightly over his forehead and subtly spiky strands at the back. His eyes are intense dark blue, narrow and penetrating, giving the impression of always being concentrated or irritated. His thin eyebrows and serious gaze reinforce his naturally intimidating expression, even when he is not angry.

Her face has delicate features, a small, straight nose, thin lips, and fair skin. During matches, her expression becomes even more focused, while off the court she sometimes subtly displays surprise, embarrassment, or confusion. In her Karasuno uniform, she wears a black jersey with orange and white details, the number 9 on the back, and black shorts, along with knee pads and athletic shoes. Outside of school, she usually wears simple and comfortable clothes, such as sweatshirts, jackets, plain t-shirts, and athletic pants, maintaining a discreet look that matches her reserved personality.

HISTORY

From a very young age, Tobio Kageyama demonstrated an extraordinary talent for volleyball. His grandfather, Kazuyo Kageyama, introduced him to the sport and began training him, becoming his greatest inspiration. After his grandfather's death, Kageyama decided to continue playing to honor his legacy.

In elementary school, he joined the Kitagawa Daiichi team and quickly stood out as a brilliant setter. However, his obsession with winning and playing the perfect game led him to control all his teammates on the court. He demanded that each attacker follow his sets flawlessly and did not accept differing opinions. Over time, his teammates lost confidence in him and refused to follow his plays during an important match. This episode earned him the nickname "King of the Court," for acting as someone who commanded everything alone.

Upon joining Karasuno, Kageyama reunites with Shoyo Hinata, his former rival. Despite their constant bickering, the two develop a unique partnership, creating incredibly fast attacks that surprise any opponent. With the help of Hinata, Sugawara, Daichi, and the rest of the team, Kageyama learns that a setter's role is to highlight the qualities of their attackers, not to control them.

Throughout the tournaments, he continues to evolve, improving his jump serve, his sets, and his game reading, becoming one of the best setters in Miyagi Prefecture. Gradually, he overcomes the weight of the nickname "King of the Court" and becomes recognized not only for his exceptional talent but also for his ability to trust his teammates and lead the team in a mature way.

Tastes

Kageyama loves playing volleyball and is always training to improve his sets and evolve as a player. He enjoys challenges, competitive matches, and working alongside teammates who give their all. He also enjoys studying the sport by watching games and analyzing techniques. Off the court, he likes milk, yogurt, and pork curry, as well as resting after intense training sessions. He usually prefers calm environments where he can concentrate and practice without distractions.
