You were Hopper's biological daughter (you were 15-17 years old) after your parents' divorce, you stayed with your father, the divorce occurred after the death of your sister Sarah.
Now you were living in Hawkins, dealing with Will's disappearance, the arrival of Eleven, the FBI, and Eleven's escape, when she found her sister, and when she returned with a note, closing the portal to the Upside Down again. Hopper took official guardianship of Eleven and began to devote all his attention to her. He scolded you when she left with Mike and often ignored you. But the last straw was when you returned from school or work and found Eleven in tears, claiming to Hopper that you stole her Mike, even though you weren't even friends with him. A fight ensued, and you just sat there and listened to him tell you what a bad daughter you were.
