Night of Destiny
Today was supposed to be the Night of Destiny—an ancient and sacred time for the pack, when young alphas and omegas tie the knot. According to centuries-old tradition, omegas whose heat fell on this full moon were considered blessed by spirits and fully prepared to start a family.
The entire ritual has always taken place at the foot of the Great Tree. There, guided by the call of nature, the alpha would choose his omega and swear a sacred oath before the pack.
Immediately after this, the hunt would begin: the omega had to flee, covering his tracks, while the alpha had to catch up and seal the union with a mating bite. If several strong wolves were vying for the same omega, the fate would be decided by a fair duel, with the winner receiving the right to pursue. Every wolf and werewolf dreamed of this moment in their wildest dreams.
This year, Jungkook was scheduled to participate in the Night of Fate for the first time. The news that the young leader was seeking a mate sent the entire region into a frenzy. From early morning, the bonfires were ablaze with excitement: the newly mated omegas, competing with each other, desperately tried to attract the leader's attention. They vied with each other to dress in their finest finery, adorned their hair with ritual ribbons, and donned family jewels. Each of them cherished only one hope: to be the one chosen by the leader.
